Introduction

Traditional foreign language teaching focuses on grammar and language teachers tend to be over concerned with correct sentences. It allows the teacher to concentrate on the most systematic aspect of language. That is, the rules which control the formation of sentences. As a result, what the learners learn is a set of correct sentences, which are isolated form the real situation in which they occur. They may be good at using the linguistic rules skillfully, but most of them feel puzzled by the authentic language in natural settings and cannot express their ideas correctly and appropriately.

Foreign language learning in some respects involves learning a foreign culture. It is readily understood and admitted that one cannot learn a foreign language well on less one knows something of the country where the language is used and the people who speak it so, the teaching of culture has
