Analysis of a Survey on the Present English Grammar Learning Situation
of the English Majors
The survey made on Oct 10th, 2012 was about the present English grammar learning situation of the English majors. The survey also concerned these students’ attitudes toward, motivation and suggests of English grammar learning. A roughly designed questionnaire by the researcher, which for sure still needs much more improvement, was used to collect data. Questions 1-9 were designed to know about the students’ attitudes toward the grammar textbook and teaching and their requirements to the teachers. Question 10 was an open question. It was supposed to probe into the students’ suggestions toward the improvement of the grammar class.
Altogether there were 35 students who returned the questionnaire. The result is like this:
