AbstractThepapercomparesthreenumericalstrategiestopredicttheaerodynamicro-
torexcitationsourcesof"LowEngineOrder"(LEO)inahigh-pressureturbinestage.Mainfocusislaidonmethodstocomputethestatorexit ow.Theaimistoevaluatecomputationallycheapapproachestoavoidmodelingthewholecircumferenceofthestator.Asinglepassageviscousstrategy,asinglepas-sageinviscidlinearblademovementstrategy,andaviscousmulti-passagesectorstrategyarecomparedandevaluated.Theassessmentofthepredictionqualityismadebycomparisonofthecomputedstatorexit owtoexperimentaldata.Themainresultisthatonlytheglobalbehaviorofthestatorexit owisestimatedright,boththelevelandamplitudeofMachnumberandpressurearecomputedwithpooragreementtoexperiments.Futureevaluationsoftheresultingrotorexcitationpressureareneededtoestimatethelevelofnecessaryagreementtogiveacceptablepredictionsofthelowengineorderforcedresponse.
