Abstract
Language and culture are closely related Language is the expressing form of culture, and culture is the basis of language. Every nation has its own culture of special features and every language has its particular expressions. The cultural differences between different countries are reflected in their own languages. The 21st century is the age of crass-cultural exchange. We should not only learn the language itself. But also understand cultural distinctions of various nations. This thesis discusses the problem in three aspects: Firstly. It talks about the necessity of the culture teaching in foreign language teaching. Secondly, it talks about the mainly contents of culture teaching. Lastly, it discusses how to teach culture in foreign language teaching.
